This presentation introduces an exciting new approach to making reusable custom doming forms using an innovative molding process. Learn how to design and fabricate forms in virtually any shape, opening the door to hollow forms and dimensional designs that simply aren't possible with standard commercial forms. Pam will demonstrate the complete process, from sculpting original models to creating durable, reusable forming molds. You'll also discover several easy techniques for sculpting master forms, even if you don't consider yourself a sculptor. These simple methods make it possible to create smooth, professional forms without advanced carving or modeling skills. Whether you want to reproduce a favorite shape, create one-of-a-kind hollow forms, or simply break free from the limitations of commercially available doming forms, this presentation will give you a completely new way to think about dimensional construction in metal clay. You'll leave inspired with practical ideas, an understanding of the process, and countless possibilities for creating forms that are uniquely your own.

Pam East began working with metal clay in 2003, when she completed her Level 1 and Senior certifications through Art Clay World USA. In 2005, she became an Art Clay Silver Master Instructor. She has developed metal clay techniques and created educational content including magazine articles, YouTube videos, and written and video tutorials. She has taught in-person classes at the John C. Campbell Folk School for 27 years and has also taught at conferences and guilds around the world. In 2024, she received the Lis-El Crowley Vision Award.
